The Associate Director of Advancement is a hybrid position that will assist the Director of Advancement in all phases of the advancement program. He/She will maintain a portfolio of individual and corporate prospects to develop using a moves management system. He/She will be responsible for cultivating relationships with corporations, organizations, major and planned giving individual prospects in order to engage them further in Melmark’s mission. Through this engagement, the Associate Director of Advancement will encourage and foster philanthropic support, volunteerism and overall investment in the organization.
Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree required.
Certifications/Licensure: A valid US State driver’s license with a minimum of two years driving experience and a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age. Must be capable of attaining approved Melmark driver status. Successful completion of employer provided certification in CPR and First Aid.
Skill(s): Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office. Strong interpersonal skills are an asset.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years experience in a development office setting with focus on annual giving, major gifts, planned giving and/or corporate/foundation relations work, or equivalent and relevant experience. Raiser’s Edge experience a plus
