Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college or university; Master’s degree preferred; 3 or more years of professional fundraising experience, including development program administration, campaign responsibilities and donor relations.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally through presentations, phone calls, meetings the needs of the organization; Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations; ability to write reports and business correspondence; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations; ability to read and understand financial reports including balance sheets and financial audits; ability to develop and maintain departmental budgets
Ability to proactively identify challenges, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The ability to provide written material (proposals, reports, summaries, small grant narratives) and verbal presentations to a variety of audiences; self-motivated with the ability to successfully handle multiple projects/responsibilities simultaneously; maintains a working knowledge of current technology, applications and software;
