Our nonprofit client, Feed the Children (FEED), has recently retained our executive search firm to assist in locating a Chief Development Officer to lead the organization’s global development and expand efforts around the world.
Established in 1979, FEED exists to end child hunger. It is one of the largest US-based charities and serves those in need in the US and in 10 countries around the world. The organization provides food, education, essentials and disaster relief. Domestically, FEED operates five distribution centers (located in Oklahoma, Indiana, California, Tennessee and Pennsylvania). In fiscal year 2015, the organization distributed 107 million pounds of food and essentials valued at $302 million to people in the US and internationally; it sponsored nearly 24,500 children, addressing the root causes of poverty through child sponsorship and school sponsorship. The organization raised $55 million in cash in 2015 through a variety of programs and channels. FEED is taking a stand and will not rest until every child has enough to eat.
