National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) has an exciting opportunity for a Vice President of Development. Reporting to NPCA’s President & CEO and a member of the executive leadership team, the Vice President of Development is responsible for developing and implementing the fundraising strategy to meet the $14MM annual fundraising goal. The position builds, develops, and leads a cohesive, effective team of 24 staff across the country.
NPCA is a $35MM nonprofit with 155 employees working in 29 locations across the country. NPCA, established in 1919, is an independent, nonpartisan voice working to address major threats facing the National Park System, and helping to ensure the places remain unimpaired for future generations.
Preparing for NPCA’s 2019 Centennial, an incoming Vice President of Development will have the opportunity to join a high-performing, solid organization at a time of tremendous momentum.
The Vice President leads oversight for all aspects of the Development program, including: Major Gifts, Mid-level program, Foundation Relations, Corporate/Marketing Partnerships, Planned Giving, Events, and NPCA’s Travel program. The Vice President also works closely with the Vice President of Membership to coordinate fundraising efforts and messages.
