A top frontline fundraiser, the Associate Vice President for Development, in consultation with the Vice President for Advancement, sets an ambitious course and direction for philanthropy at Evergreen. An inspirational leader capable of building lasting relationships with donors leading to ever-increasing levels of generosity, the AVP will be instrumental in the continual growth of giving to the college. The AVP plans, manages and directs a comprehensive development program. The AVP is responsible for the continued growth of existing and prospective donor relationships in order to secure significant charitable support for Evergreen, including serving as a primary manager of a portfolio of donors. This position designs and implements strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, close and steward gifts from alumni, parents, friends and other groups. The position supervises major gift officers, development and donor relations officers, and prospect management and research. The AVP is responsible for designing, implementing and adhering to policies, procedures and methods of operation that facilitate the accomplishment of program goals. The AVP sets the tone for an energetic, enthusiastic and engaging environment.

This is an “at-will” appointment, exempt from Washington State Civil Service rules and the Fair Labor Standards Act overtime requirements.
