Notre Dame High School is an independent Catholic college preparatory school for young women located on 10.6 acres in Belmont, California, a professional suburban community located midway between San Francisco and San Jose. Reporting to the Head of School as a member of the Administrative Team, the Director of Advancement is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of Notre Dame High School’s comprehensive advancement program as adopted by the Board of Directors. The Director will provide leadership to the advancement team and will also be responsible for developing and maintaining active and productive relationships with board members, donors and administration.
He/She should have strategic planning skills and the ability to serve as a critical thinker, capable of providing positive and proactive solutions to advancement issues. The successful candidate will be an experienced development professional with five or more years of increasingly responsible institutional advancement experience, preferably in a school or university setting. Candidates with an exceptional record of personal achievement in cultivating donors and raising major gifts for capital and other purposes will be given preference. Comfort with software programs, social media, and other technology is important. A Bachelor’s degree is required.
