Senior Director, Annual Giving

As our Senior Director for Annual Giving, we’re looking to you to do just that as you plan and direct a wide range of initiatives in support of our Annual Giving program.
In this key role, you will direct all aspects of the program including strategic planning, creative development, budgeting and scheduling, market testing and segmentation, analytics, production, internal approvals and distribution. Solicits, cultivates and stewards annual donors. You will:
Develop the strategy, goals, objectives, and related budgets for the regional Annual Giving Program
Build and maintain productive departmental and vendor relationships
Design and implement an aggressive and effective multi-channel direct mail, e-philanthropy, tele-fund and personal solicitation campaign
Actively cultivate and solicit key prospects and donors
Work proactively with other development officers to identify and evaluate prospects for leadership gifts and major gift cultivation
Partner with Strategic Communications on strategies, messaging and branding, and tactics for communicating with annual giving audiences
Collaborate with Corporate Marketing team to develop strategy and messaging
Collaborate with Prospect Development and Research to increase prospect identification and facilitate moves management
Direct and manage the marketing agency, mail house and other third party creative and production agencies
Develop, manage and evaluate direct reports
Manage analytics for the direct mail program
Create weekly update reports
Set and meet goals for giving society, Annual Giving revenue and constituency development
To qualify, you must have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Management or related field – Master’s preferred
Minimum of seven years development experience
Experience securing gifts from $25K to $100K
Strong leadership and coaching skills
Background in direct marketing, on-line giving and cause-related-marketing
