Reporting to the Director of Individual Giving, the Annual Fund Program Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of the Perkins Annual Fund and Direct Marketing program. This includes overseeing workflow and production of all Annual Fund donor communications including acknowledgements, the digital strategy, cultivation and stewardship and the bonding call program.
Perkins’ Annual Fund has a robust national direct mail program that mails over 1 million pieces per year. The Annual Fund Program Manager is responsible for overseeing all acquisition and renewal mailings, in addition to integrated digital campaigns, the monthly giving program and in-house solicitations. The position will manage three part-time Telemarketers.
Manage all aspects of the direct marketing program, including both print and digital strategies.
Serve as liaison for direct marketing consultants and vendors.
Oversee annual direct marketing production schedule, appeal review and approval process.
Develop and monitor Annual Fund budget; approve program invoices.
Work with direct marketing agency to generate appeal concepts and test ideas.
Assist with story procurement, design, and photo selection.
Work with Donor Operations team to develop donor list criteria for each communication.
Work with the IT Department to insure the smooth integration and execution of all direct marketing and cultivation strategies.
Analyze direct marketing results to determine strategy and maximize cost-efficiency for the program.
Develop special solicitation and stewardship pieces as needed.
Ensure Annual Fund donor records and mailing requests are accurately tracked in database.
Cultivation and Stewardship
Oversee acknowledgement process for Annual Fund donors.
Plan and execute Annual Fund cultivation events in conjunction with the Special Events staff.
Manage the fulfillment of giving society benefits and engagement opportunities.
Manage all aspects of the telemarketing program
Supervise staff of three part-time alumni telemarketers
Oversee caller training, script development and monitoring of calls
Manage all aspects of online fundraising, including the annual fund and sustainer programs.
Incorporate new digital fundraising strategies into the program, including social media.
Develop strategies, in conjunction with direct marketing firm, to increase monthly giving program
Promote monthly giving in welcome and acknowledgement packages.
Oversee all aspects of website giving including content, giving pages and donation forms
Work with Director of Individual Giving to establish Annual Fund goals and metrics.
Work with Donor Operations team to develop donor giving reports and analyze data.
Oversee the workflow and production of mail and digital campaigns for targeted donor groups, such as library patrons, parents, volunteers, etc.
Work with Director of Special Events to manage annual cause marketing campaign.
To perform other related duties as assigned and work collaboratively with the Trust team on any projects.
A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive development experience, including at least 2 years in direct mail marketing.
