MAJOR GIFTS OFFICER – Missouri Western State University seeks qualified applicants for a Major Gifts Officer (MGO) position. The MGO develops and implements strategies for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospective and current donors and collaborates with the Director of Development to identify new donor prospects. The MGO manages a portfolio of major gift prospects and maintains a schedule of donor visits, and plans and coordinates visits and events. The MGO will analyze data of prospects’ linkage; analyze and provide a report of major giving activities; coordinates the fundraising efforts of high-level volunteers in securing new and renewed gifts; and maintains appointment schedule in accordance with set priorities. REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree and five years of successful experience in Development/fundraising preferably in higher education; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. PREFERED: Experience in a non-profit or higher education environment, knowledge of Raiser’s Edge, professional membership or certification. Official transcripts must be provided prior to hiring.
