Reporting to the Vice President for College Advancement, working closely with the Executive Director of Development, Deans and faculty, the Major Gift Officer is responsible for the qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major and deferred gift prospects to align benefactor interests with the strategic objectives of the College. Will manage a portfolio of prospects with a primary focus on qualifying prospects and closing major and deferred gifts.
Will partner with the development team to develop and implement solicitation strategies relating to individual annual fund and campaign prospects through annual and monthly action plans of moves management steps. Manage a portfolio of approximately 150 donors and prospects with an emphasis in the Twin Cities area with direct responsibility for maximizing gift results. Implement an active, creative program of prospect and donor identification. Along with the Vice President for College Advancement, set and achieve agreed-up performance and fundraising goals. Demonstrate a commitment to inclusive excellence as an expression of the Benedictine values of the College.
A bachelor’s degree plus three years successful direct major gift or related experience is required. Strong interpersonal and excellent intercultural written/oral communication skills are required.
