Friends University is in search of an Annual Fund Coordinator to assist the Director of Development with Annual Fund donor cultivation and solicitation efforts including personal contacts, direct mail, Phonathon oversight, email and social media. Will support Director of Alumni Relations and Director of Development with select Alumni engagement events such as Homecoming festivities, reunions and donor appreciation events.
Work with Director of Development to plan, implement and maintain annual giving and stewardship programs including direct personal donor cultivation and solicitation; create, prepare and distribute annual fund direct mail appeals, emails and social media solicitations; conduct the annual faculty and staff campaign in support of the Falcon Fund.
Work with the Director of Alumni Relations to establish and build relationships with alumni to increase alumni participation in giving to the Falcon Fund and other fund development initiatives.
Manage Phonathon program; including planning, recruiting and supervising student callers for evening and Saturday calling shifts. Prepare and mail pledge statements and pledge reminders.
Attend select Alumni and Advancement events and perform other duties as requested.
Work hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. During Phonathon Calling, hours will adjust to cover supervision of student callers, typically 12:00 p.m. -9:00 p.m. Occasional evening and/or weekend hours may be requested.

Work experience in a computer environment, with specific experience in learning and operating various database applications. Experience in higher education setting preferred. Customer service, sales or telemarketing experience preferred. Experience in fundraising specifically Phonathon calling preferred. Graphic Design experience a plus. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are necessary. Ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner is required.
