Required & Preferred Background: The successful candidate for this position will have:
•Bachelor's degree in business administration, financial development, communication, public relations, human services or equivalent preferred. •Minimum seven years experience in financial development with emphasis on major gift, annual giving, foundation and corporate grants, capital development, planned giving and volunteer development in the YMCA or other large non-profit organization.
•Minimum five years experience in successfully leading and managing a team of direct and indirect reports and managing a department budget.
•Minimum three years experience working successfully on a cross-functional leadership team responsible for overall direction and achievement of organizational wide results.
•Strong preference for direct experience with and working relationship with the Greater Seattle area public, private and non-profit sectors.
•Strong preference for knowledge of and previous successful experience working with and engaging all communities and diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation etc..
•Ability to speak any language in addition to English preferred.
•YMCA Senior Director Certification or equivalent preferred.
