Work directly with a portfolio of selected prospective donors to advance their relationships with the College. Primarily through personal visits, identify and qualify prospective major donors, undertake activities to involve them with the college, recognize and steward donors who are contributors at the major gift level. Serve as part of the advancement team in completing a multi-year fundraising campaign to increase giving for the College's most urgent priorities.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Shared supervision of Major Gifts Assistant
CORE DUTIES: 1. Serve as a major gifts officer for the College, with responsibility for a portfolio of donor prospects in the $10,000-$100,000 gift range. Visit with donors individually off campus, initiate activities to involve donors with the College, participate in group meetings and events.
2. Develop volunteer resources in the major and planned gifts areas, working closely with members of the BSC Foundation Board and the campaign planning committees.
3. Participate in the implementation of a comprehensive fundraising campaign to raise a minimum of $15 million over the next 2-3 years. (Campaign has raised $8 million to date.) Implement activities to identify, involve and solicit campaign donors at the major gifts level.
4. Work with Acting Director to address interdivisional issues on campus that impact donors and giving, interacting with the Student, Academic, and Public Affairs Divisions as needed.
5. Assist with a variety of institutional advancement events and projects as assigned. Travel, primarily in New England, is required, as well as the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
