Roger Williams University is seeking an experienced fundraising professional to serve as a Major Gifts Officer. Reporting to the Senior Vice President for Enrollment and Advancement, the Major Gifts Officer is an experienced development professional who is responsible for managing a portfolio of 150 – 200 major gifts prospects while identifying future prospects. Major Gifts Officers are expected to secure gifts on a progressively increasing scale. In addition to maintaining organized records and documenting contacts, the Major Gifts Officer will actively participate in prospect strategy and departmental meetings while maintaining communications with the development staff. The ideal candidate must be able to articulate the overall vision and strategic direction of the University while maintaining a strong grasp of institutional data. Solid communication and interpersonal skills with the aptitude for persuasion are necessary to be successful in this position. Being results-driven with the talent for creative problem solving is a plus.
