Job Description
CVABE’s Fundraiser is charged with the responsibility of raising funds for CVABE. S/he works with and through the CVABE Board of Directors and the Executive Team for all development programs including public relations activities designed to support fundraising success. The Fundraiser provides the leadership and the management of activities related to analysis, planning, execution and evaluation of fundraising which secures and furthers CVABE’s education service.

CVABE’s Fundraiser exhibits special familiarity with CVABE’s operational core; that is, community engagement. This value, central to the organization’s purpose, is specifically addressed in this position by the engagement of new donors and the appreciative consideration of established ones. Widening the circle of participants in CVABE’s work by issuing compelling, constant invitation to invest in this critical tenet of Vermont’s education practice is the benchmark of success for the position.

CVABE’s Fundraiser fulfills an array of responsibilities and meets the particular challenges and opportunities presenting themselves with the skill, innovation, judgment, creativity, organization and enthusiasm required.


Requirements
Responsibilities include leadership and direct action in all aspects of fundraising. Applicants must demonstrate skill and experience in the areas of public relations, research, proposal writing, planning, collaboration, and database management. Selection will be based on evidence of a successful track record by the candidate of donor identification, cultivation, solicitation and meeting fundraising targets.
