Job Description
Summary: The Manager of Individual and Leadership Gifts manages the annual individual giving programs of The Philadelphia Orchestra (POA), Academy of Music Restoration Fund (AOM), and Peter Nero and the Philly Pops (PNPP), including telefunding, direct mail, stewardship, and cultivation events.

Essential Functions:

1. Manage the annual giving program for the POA Board, Maestro Circle, and Membership campaigns, including strategy, cultivation, solicitation, acknowledgement and recognition.
2. Draft and produce personalized solicitations for Maestro’s Circle and Board members.
3. Manage the telefunding operations for the POA, including development of strategy and message; schedule and list generation; and monitoring and evaluation of campaign progress. Serve as primary contact with the telefunding vendor.
4. Assist in the annual giving programs for AOM and PNPP, including drafting appeals and overseeing implementation
5. Manage mail house operations, including generation and segmentation of donor lists and oversee the preparation of all list requests and refined data mailings.
6. Manage production of annual individual reports including the weekly consolidated report.
7. Manage the planning and implementation of all annual individual stewardship and cultivation events, including Open Rehearsals, Salon Series, donor dinners, concert receptions, etc.
8. Manage and support the Maestro Circle, Membership, and Volunteer Annual Giving Committees.
9. Work as part of Annual Fund team to develop and implement the strategic plan to meeting fundraising goals.
10. Work with Stewardship Office to insure all information is accurate for donor listings and serve as a primary contact for the development of brochure and web content for the POA and PNPP Annual Individual Giving publications.
11. Oversee the fulfillment of annual individual giving benefits.
12. Supervise and manage the work of the Individual Giving Coordinator, including gift processing, acknowledgements, donor lists, data updates, and other administrative functions.

Requirements
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required plus a minimum of three years of solid fundraising experience; or equivalent combination education and experience. Knowledge of fundraising software preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

1. Experience with events planning.
2. Experience with database management.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across the development department and entire organization.
4. Excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal and written).
5. Attention to detail essential.
6. Familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet programs.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Routine for office environment. The employee will be required to perform the essential functions of the job during evenings and weekends.
